Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
The Health Vitality News (the "Site", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what limited personal information we handle when you visit this website, why, and the rights you have. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
1. Who we are (data controller)
The data controller responsible for this Site is:
[REPLACE: operator legal entity name + postal address]
Privacy contact: privacy@thehealthvitalitynews.shop
2. Scope
This policy covers the public, informational website at thehealthvitalitynews.shop. It does not cover third-party websites we may link to, each of which has its own privacy practices.
3. Information we collect
This is a static, informational publication. We keep data collection to a minimum:
- Server and access logs. Like almost all websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical data when a page is requested: your IP address (often truncated or anonymised by the provider), the date and time, the page requested, referring URL, and basic browser and device information. These logs support security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
- Email you send us. If you email hello@thehealthvitalitynews.shop or privacy@thehealthvitalitynews.shop, we receive your email address, name (if given), and the content of your message so we can reply.
- A single technical preference. Your language choice (English or German) is stored locally in your browser (local storage) so the Site remembers it. This never leaves your device and is not used to identify you.
We do not ask you to create an account, we run no signup form, and we do not knowingly collect special categories of data (such as health data) about you.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
This institutional site sets no advertising or tracking cookies, and uses no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party trackers. The only client-side storage we use is the language preference described above, which is a strictly necessary functional setting, not a cookie used for tracking. Because we do not use non-essential cookies, no cookie-consent banner is required for this site.
5. Legal bases for processing (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases under Article 6(1):
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for keeping the Site secure, reliable, and functioning, including minimal server logs.
- Consent or the taking of steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(a)/(b)) when you choose to email us and we handle your message to respond.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) where we must retain or disclose information to comply with the law.
6. How we use information
We use the limited information above only to operate and secure the Site, to respond to messages you send us, and to comply with legal obligations. We do not use it for profiling, automated decision-making, or behavioural advertising.
7. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We may share limited data with:
- Service providers who host and protect the Site, acting on our instructions under appropriate agreements (for example, our hosting and email providers);
- Authorities or advisers where required by law, to protect our rights, or to prevent harm or abuse.
8. Data retention
We keep information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. Technical server logs are typically retained for a short period by our hosting provider and then deleted or anonymised. Emails you send are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, unless a longer period is required by law.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in countries outside your own, including outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under applicable law (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information.
10. Your rights under the GDPR
If you are in the EU, the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to: access your personal data; have inaccurate data corrected; have data erased; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and, where processing is based on consent, to withdraw that consent at any time. To exercise any right, email privacy@thehealthvitalitynews.shop. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
11. California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it; to request access to, or deletion of, that information; to correct inaccurate information; and to be free from discrimination for exercising your rights.
We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months. Because we do not sell or share, there is no separate "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" process to complete; the default is no sale.
To make a request, email privacy@thehealthvitalitynews.shop. We will verify your request and will not discriminate against you for making one. You may use an authorised agent where the law permits.
12. Children's privacy (COPPA)
This Site is intended for adults. It is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where a higher age applies under local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@thehealthvitalitynews.shop and we will delete it promptly.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the Site, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and strict content-security controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep the limited data we handle safe.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the Site or the law. The current version, with its "last updated" date, always appears on this page. Material changes will be made clear here.
